We are recruiting for a Business Development Executive (APAC) based in Singapore.

The APAC sales team is responsible for evangelising the company as a solution to the wider market. The first step in the customer journey aims to position our client as the go-to talent marketplace partner in the business talent category.

For the role you need to be resilient and determined. You will also understand how to assess a prospective customer's needs, cater the outreach to each prospect specifically and field common queries.

Business Development Executive

As a Business Development Executive, you will evangelise and generate revenue for the business in the APAC Region. The role involves identifying which companies will gain most advantage from using the platform and then positioning the solution to become established within the account as their first-choice business talent provider. Once they are on board, you will focus on expanding the user base and overall usage, creating loyal clients who buy in increasing volume and value.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Use a consultative sales approach throughout to map prospect accounts and their decision- making process, so that you can engage with senior stakeholders including C-suite
  • Consistently achieve/exceed your personal bookings and revenue targets and contribute to overall revenue growth
  • Generating meetings with users within new and existing accounts to identify and generate qualified pipeline and revenue opportunities (minimum of 5 new engagements per week)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, specifically with support from marketing campaigns to evangelise the story to prospects and clients and work with the Delivery team to ensure excellent client service
  • Track and record information on Salesforce and show ownership of data related to your activities

New Account acquisition:

  • Identify market opportunities within your designated segment and region, sourcing the majority of your own bookings through proactive outreach
  • Manage multi-touch and multi-format outreach programmes
  • Lead meetings with prospects and plan clear next steps to continue engagement
  • Negotiate terms with New Accounts with the view to establish preferred supplier status

Existing Account growth:

  • Act as point of contact for all requests from your designated existing clients
  • Generate new users within existing accounts through direct outreach and driving referrals into new functions and geographies
  • Increase Existing Account revenue growth with a focus on gaining an increasing share of spend

What you should have:

  • Proven success in a sales or customer facing role ideally from a marketplace, staffing/recruiting, consulting, or HR technology platform company
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding goals and KPIs
  • Exceptional communications skills including an excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written). Additional language skills are a bonus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly developed complex problem-solving ability with the ability to adapt to the situation
  • Resilience and drive with a will to win and success
