Our client - a leading global authority on consumer trends using expert forecasting combined with data science, consumer insights, product design direction and trading strategies is looking for a Business Development Manager to join their team as part of our Sales function.

Role: Business Development Manager

Location: Singapore

Salary: S$5,000 - S$6,000 per month

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving customer growth. Generating new business in the Southeast Asia territory with the support of the head of new business and the marketing and BD associate team.

Activity level standard of min 10 customer meetings/week, conversion of inbound and outbound sourced leads.

As the first BDM in the market, this role has the potential to develop into a country leader and drive overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and growing new business opportunities in the SEA and APAC market
  • Selling of solutions to new clients
  • Forecasting business accurately on monthly and quarterly outlook
  • Strategic lead in the markets, advise on long term plans for growth and business development beyond Fashion industries
  • Key responsibilities include following up inbound leads, own lead generation through social selling, discovery calls and working closely with the marketing team and rest of the sales team to develop strategies to recruit new business prospects in your markets
  • Arranging & attending meetings with prospects, making C-Level presentations including demonstration of the subscription site; drafting proposals and contract documents and consistent networking within the industry.
  • Working closely with the Hong Kong, Singapore, Melbourne Account management and Client Success team to understand clients usage of the solution, best practices, customer success stories, and drive referral business.
  • Reporting to the Head of New Business (based in HK)

Your Experience

  • Consultative solution selling and understanding of the subscription business
  • Scientific practice of selling, with a superior ability to connect with clients and colleagues alike
  • Previous experience within the information/research industry, marketing/branding agency would be a distinct advantage
  • Strategic thinking, communication
  • A degree in any discipline is preferable
