We are recruiting for a Regional Business Development Manager in Singapore.

Our client are a truly global FTSE company with revenues of $10 billion+.

Our client provides data services and decision tools and thousands of decisions are taken every day using our clients intelligence!

The Role

You are responsible for organising a strategic approach to understand the true value we bring to our customers, expanding and strengthening the breadth and depth of our relationships, ultimately retaining existing revenue and generating new business through upsell and Xsell of additional products and services in the petrochemical sector. The successful candidate will be a resourceful, motivated individual with a high level of curiosity, passion to learn, courage to try, fail and win.

You are dealing with existing subscriptions, however with a challenging attitude in terms of up-selling into existing accounts, cross-selling to additional teams/contacts within the accounts, and some hunting with subsidiary companies related to their existing portfolio. You must demonstrate a hunter mentality with your proactiveness and experience.

Experience & Accountabilities:

  • Account management with capability for new business development
  • Over 5 year's experience in sales primarily in data solution selling
  • Solid experience in value-based selling with a consultative approach
  • Proven track record at managing, retaining and growing revenue and accountable for sales results
  • Establishes strong, long-term customer relationships and cultivates new business opportunities
  • Maintains relationships with key decision makers
  • Continuously learn to lead with insight, develop a deep understanding of customer workflows and customer value
  • Maintain high volume and high-quality customer engagement through phone, email, social media and on-site visits, should be travelling to targeted clients on a monthly basis
  • Record client engagement and communication using Salesforce.com
  • Collaborate with all business functions locally and globally

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree preferred; or significant industry experience
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar consultative sales position preferably license based subscription services
