Role: Business Development Manager (Exhibition and Sponsorship Sales)

Location: Singapore

Salary: S$5,500 - S$6,000 + commission

Job Description

The Business Development Manager will be charged with securing sponsorship and exhibition space revenues.

You will be responsible for the execution of B2B sponsorship and exhibition sales campaigns of your assigned accounts.

The ideal candidate will be both analytic and creative, in addition to having the ability to successfully deliver assigned projects throughout the year - efficiently and effectively following a plan to meeting targets and ensure a great customer experience. You will be responsible for retention and growth of key accounts as well as the generation of revenue from new business.

In addition to sales, the role is responsible for collecting market insights from customers and contribute to Vis-prom campaign activities.

Key accountabilities

  • Cultivate strong relationships with a cross-section of stakeholders with a consultative approach
  • Achieving and exceeding agreed show and personal revenue targets
  • Undertaking research to understand the market objectives, aims and ambitions of your client base.
  • To work closely with and within each business to identify its aims, objectives, and requirements.
  • Tailor opportunities available, creating strong sponsorship propositions.
  • To identify new sales opportunities and develop them into long-term relationships.
  • Work closely with other departments
  • Attend events and liaising with exhibitor and sponsor clients onsite to ensure that their contract is fulfilled, and all their concerns and needs are addressed.
  • Keep up to date via a wide range of material including various industry publications relevant to the topic areas and audiences of assigned conferences for developments and trends in the industry.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Have excellent telephones sales manner with consistently high call rates.
  • Ideally have 2 to 3 years' experience in B2B sponsorship and exhibition sales
  • Have technical experience with contract management and proposal writing.
  • Be able to cross and up sell opportunities and products.
  • Focus on the customer needs AND seek win/win agreements.
  • Excellent verbal and written English
