We're looking for a well-connected senior Business Development professional with deep roots in the Financial Services and Insurance markets to join on a flexible, part-time contract basis.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives on relationship-building, networking, and opening doors - not day-to-day sales execution. If you have a strong "black book" of senior contacts and enjoy the commercial side of connecting opportunities, this role offers both flexibility and high earning potential.
Ideal for individuals who are running their own business, semi-retired, or looking for a fractional role alongside other commitments.
Leveraging your network to open doors within the Financial Services & Insurance sectors
Creating and qualifying early-stage business opportunities
Facilitating high-quality introductions with senior stakeholders (C-suite and decision-makers)
Supporting initial conversations and shaping opportunities before handing over to delivery teams
Acting as a trusted advisor and market connector
Proven background in Business Development / Sales within Financial Services or Insurance
A strong, active network ("black book") of senior industry contacts
Comfortable operating in a relationship-led, social, and network-driven role
Experience navigating complex organisations and buying processes
Commercially astute, with a focus on opportunity generation rather than delivery
Self-sufficient, entrepreneurial mindset - ideally currently independent, consulting, or semi-retired
Fully remote
Flexible hours - output matters more than time spent
Typically aligned to 1-2 days per week, but fully adaptable
Flexible commission structure (negotiable)
Retainer + performance-based earnings
Strong earning potential with target billings of £300k per quarter
