Senior Estimator.

WeAreAspire Middle East is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to oversee the estimation department within a leading Joinery and Fit-Out division. This role requires strong leadership, analytical expertise, and a deep understanding of cost estimation, procurement, and project budgeting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of estimators, ensuring accurate project costing, and developing pricing strategies to enhance profitability and competitiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, mentor, and guide the estimating team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all cost estimations.
• Oversee the preparation of detailed and precise cost estimates for joinery and fit-out projects, ensuring all aspects are thoroughly assessed.
• Conduct cost risk assessments and recommend value engineering solutions to optimise project costs.
• Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids and tender documents, ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost alignment and efficiency.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing and maintain quality standards.
• Monitor material pricing trends, labour costs, and industry developments to refine cost models and pricing strategies.
• Implement best practices in estimation processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency in pricing.
• Track project budgets post-award to ensure cost control and identify variances between estimated and actual costs.
• Provide detailed cost breakdowns and justifications to clients and senior management as needed.

Candidate Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of estimation experience in the Joinery/Fit-Out industry.
• Strong expertise in AutoCAD, Estimation Software, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of joinery materials, fabrication techniques, and cost structures.
• PMP certification (preferred but not required).
• Excellent analytical and cost-analysis skills with a strong eye for detail.
• Proven ability to negotiate pricing and contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage a team and liaise with stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to work under tight time-lines while managing multiple estimation projects simultaneously.
