If you enjoy picking up the phone, building relationships, and closing delegate sales - this one's for you.
We're hiring a Conference Sales Executive to help grow attendance across a portfolio of high-quality conferences, public policy briefings and training events.
You'll be part of the commercial team, driving delegate revenue through outbound outreach, inbound enquiries and smart follow-ups. This is a role for someone organised, confident and motivated by hitting targets (and earning commission while doing it).
Perfect for someone with telemarketing or conference sales experience who wants to sharpen their commercial skills in a professional events environment.
Calling prospective delegates and introducing them to upcoming events
Following up on inbound enquiries and converting bookings
Researching new leads via LinkedIn, CRM data, past attendees and industry insights
Explaining the value of attending events in a clear, compelling way
Managing bookings from enquiry through to payment
Keeping CRM records accurate and up to date
Nurturing leads with follow-up calls and emails
Processing payments and handling booking administration
Working closely with marketing and production teams to share feedback from the market
Spotting trends, competitor activity and audience interests
Previous experience in telemarketing or sales (conference/training sales ideal)
Commercial awareness and confidence in closing delegate sales
Strong phone manner and clear communication skills
Good attention to detail
Comfortable using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Organised and able to prioritise tasks
Target-focused and motivated by commission
Professional, reliable and team-oriented
£25,000-£30,000 basic salary
OTE £35,000-£40,000
23 days holiday (rising to 25 after 2 years, 28 after 3)
Up to 3 days holiday carry over
Two personal development days per year
Company pension
Flexible working structure
Clear exposure to the full commercial lifecycle of events
You'll be selling content-led, professional conferences - not generic tickets. It's consultative, relationship-led and genuinely interesting subject matter.
If you're confident on the phone, enjoy closing, and want a role where your effort directly impacts your earnings, this is a solid next step.
