Our client is a rapidly growing cybersecurity tech start-up that has already made significant strides in the US and Europe. With Series A funding secured and a strong financial foundation, they are expanding their footprint in the APAC region. They are looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Account Manager to support their customers and drive growth in Japan and surrounding areas. The role will be remote and location is open across APAC but Native Japanese is essential.

Job Summary: As a Technical Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in the customer success team, engaging with clients pre and post-sales to ensure they receive the highest level of service and support. You will manage a portfolio of customers in Japan and a select few across APAC, leveraging your technical expertise and business acumen to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers in Japan, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Engage with customers pre and post-sales, facilitating onboarding, training, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Collaborate with the US office to align customer needs with product offerings and technical capabilities.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within your customer base.
  • Manage customer satisfaction and retention through regular check-ins, performance reviews, and proactive communication.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, relaying feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our products and industry trends to effectively communicate value to customers.
  • Work independently in a remote capacity while leveraging support from the wider team.

Qualifications:

  • Native Japanese speaker with fluent English proficiency, enabling effective communication with both local and US teams.
  • Proven experience in a Technical Account Manager, Customer Success Manager, or similar role, preferably within the cybersecurity or tech industry.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to understand and articulate complex solutions.
  • Excellent business acumen, with a track record of managing customer relationships and driving sales growth.
  • Maturity and professionalism, able to navigate challenges independently in a remote environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment with a focus on results and customer satisfaction.
