Senior research editor.

Are you passionate about transforming complex financial data and trends into compelling, high-impact insights? We're looking for an experienced Senior Research Editor to join our client's team, a leading B2B media and intelligence company serving the global banking and finance community.

In this role, you'll take ownership of research-led editorial projects; from white papers and benchmarking reports to data-driven articles and thought leadership features. You'll work closely with analysts, journalists, and industry experts to shape content that informs, engages, and influences decision-makers across the financial sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the editorial development of research reports, rankings, and data-led features across banking, payments, fintech, and capital markets.
• Edit and refine contributions from analysts and writers to ensure clarity, consistency, and editorial excellence.
• Collaborate with the data and research teams to interpret findings and craft compelling narratives.
• Commission and manage freelance contributors and subject matter experts as needed.
• Uphold high editorial standards and ensure content aligns with brand tone and audience needs.
• Stay up to date with industry developments, trends, and regulations to bring fresh insight and relevance to published work.

About You

• Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in B2B publishing, research, or journalism, ideally within financial services, banking, or related sectors.
• Exceptional editing, writing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn technical analysis into accessible, engaging content.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, corporate banking, or fintech.
• Experience managing editorial workflows, from concept through to publication.
• Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including data, design, and marketing.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.
