New role: Operations Manager

Industry: Events, Trade Exhibition

Location: Singapore

Salary: up to S$7,000 per month

Job purpose:

As an Operations Manager, you will report to the Senior Operations Manager and work closely with the Project and inter-departmental teams. This will be key as you plan, direct, and manage the exhibition operations to achieve department targets.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, direct, and monitor the operations of exhibitions organized by the Organization.
• Plan, manage, and control the budget for executing the operations and logistical requirements for the exhibitions.
• Create and devise innovative and cost-efficient solutions to operational issues and show presentation format.
• Ensure expenditure is planned, managed, and controlled within the appropriate limits laid down in the business plan
• Plan and implement effective cost measures, including new revenue streams from third-party suppliers/ contractors, to increase the department's profitability.
• Provide leadership, support, coaching, training, and direction to the operations team
• On-site hall management throughout each exhibition, ensuring smooth running of the show.
• Meet regularly with all relevant contractors and suppliers to ensure that services are provided as required.
• Follow & implement the Company Policies & Procedures
• Implement duties in accordance with Quality standards, Security, and Health and safety requirements. Continually seek opportunities to develop self and, if applicable, subordinates.
• Implement any other duties as assigned by the Department Head.
• Other duties as needed or required and deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
• The role will be required to wear the provided PPE to operate safely within the build/breakdown environment of the halls. This is needed to carry out the duties of onsite working.

Experience:

• Proven record of exhibition operations management.
• Project management, people management, and budget formulation skills are required.
• At least 5 to 7 years of exhibition operations experience in a show organizer capacity or training in the field of exhibition operations
• Proven leadership experience and capabilities
• Excellent Computer literacy, including AutoCAD
