Events Manager.

I'm excited to be representing a leading global non-profit organization that is currently seeking an Events Manager to oversee their diverse portfolio of events in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region.

About the Role:

The role involves end-to-end project and program management of events, varying in size, scale and complexity across the entire APAC region. You will be ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality events that not only meet organizational objectives but also deeply engage our diverse membership and industry audience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead event projects to deliver timely, high-quality events within budget.

• Identify, foster, and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals through committees, collaborating to develop and deliver compelling event objectives and content.

• Work closely with committees and project teams to create an impact for content programs.

• Manage conference and exhibition logistics, registration processes, on-site operations and ensure event health, safety, and security standards are met.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive marketing plan execution and achieve sales KPIs.

• Plan and monitor project budgets, ensuring financial compliance and providing sound business decisions.

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent with 3-8 years of direct event management experience.

• Minimum of 2 - 3 years managing events (1,000+ participants) with sponsorship/exhibition components.

• Demonstrated experience in event project management, logistics, and operations.

• Proven experience developing and managing event program content, ideally with committees or in a secretariat role.

• End-to-end virtual/hybrid event production experience is highly advantageous.

• Fluent in English.

• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia is a plus, and Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
