Conference Manager.

We are looking for a highly experienced and commercially minded Conference Manager to lead the content direction and programme development of a flagship B2B conference for our B2B events client in Hong Kong. This role is responsible for shaping the strategic narrative, agenda and speaker line-up for large-scale events.

You will own the end-to-end conference content lifecycle - from research and agenda design through to speaker acquisition and management and post-event optimisation. This is a senior, content-led role that is hands on and focused on thought leadership, audience value, and delegate experience, rather than technical or operational event delivery.

Success in this role requires strong market insight, credibility with senior stakeholders, and the ability to translate complex industry issues into compelling, commercially successful conference programmes.

Key Responsibilities of the Conference manager

• Lead the research, strategy, and development of a high-quality, multi-stream conference agenda aligned with the event's purpose, positioning, and target audience
• Identify and analyse emerging industry trends, regulatory developments, and market priorities to ensure timely, relevant, and future-focused programming
• Curate compelling session topics and formats, balancing strategic thought leadership with practical, actionable insights
• Source, engage, brief, and manage senior-level speakers, moderators, MCs, and subject-matter experts for independently produced programmes
• Build strong working relationships with strategic partners, industry bodies, NGOs, and corporate stakeholders to co-create high-impact content
• Maintain programme integrity and editorial independence while aligning with sponsorship and partnership requirements
• Collaborate closely with marketing, partnerships, and operations teams to ensure content supports commercial objectives, audience growth, and seamless event delivery
• Review post-event data and feedback to evaluate performance and continuously improve agenda quality and audience experience

Conference Manager Profile

• 6-10+ years' experience in conference production, agenda development, or B2B content curation for large-scale live events
• Proven track record of delivering senior-level business conferences or thought leadership platforms
• A good understanding of environment and sustainability focused topics is beneficial, or at least an interest in the space
• Highly skilled in research, storytelling, and agenda structuring
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strategic, commercially aware, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines
• Passion for creating knowledge-led events that drive meaningful discussion, collaboration, and real-world impact
