We are working with a leading American tech company specialising in PR software and marketing solutions with offices around the world.

Trusted by top brands across every industry, and a global leader in PR, marketing and social media management technology and intelligence, the company helps brands and organizations identify, connect, and engage with customers and stakeholders to drive business results.

They are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Singapore team.

What you'll do:

  • Prospecting new business sales. (Targeting marketing, corporate communications, public relations and/or investor relations professionals over the telephone, via emails, and through face to face meetings)
  • To hit or exceed monthly/quarterly KPI and targets. (With a primary focus on corporate workflow solutions such as media monitoring and insights, social media management and listening as well as their newswire distribution and content strategy services.)
  • To ensure that all clients are handled to the highest standards, and everything is known about their corporate PR, marketing communications and digital requirements throughout the year.
  • To keep track by following up on all leads and opportunities to maximize the chance of winning business and by keeping regular contact with clients and prospects
  • To provide regular (weekly, monthly, and ad hoc) feedback on sales activities to the Supervisor, including client wins/losses, competition activity, product feedback, etc.)

Your skills and experience:

  • 2 years or more new business sales is a prerequisite, expertise in SaaS (Software as a Service), or subscription-based solutions is preferred. Relevant experience in industries such as corporate communications, marketing, public relations, investor relations, advertising and/or media sales would be an advantage.
  • A good sales background of consistently delivering or exceeding sales targets and other relevant KPIs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and engaging personalities
  • Fluent in speaking and writing in English. (Additional language is a plus)
  • Proficiency in Internet and PC software, esp. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • User knowledge and experience in CRM system is preferred. (Salesforce is an advantage)
