Our client is a UK-based leading global provider of independent intelligence and insight about asset management.

Some of their main areas of business are media (publishing), events and marketing/content production services.

Although a small-medium company, they have a global reach, with offices in London, Munich, Milan, Singapore, and New York.

The Singapore office has grown rapidly over the past few years, and they are looking for a driven, hard-working, organised individual to join their Editorial team an Asia Editor.

Role: Asia Editor

Location: Singapore

Covering the exciting and ever-changing world of finance, private banking and investment. You will work alongside experts and write high quality breaking news and features.

Content is focused on the private banking, wealth management and fund management industry.

Having a strong understanding of investment, including funds is a key advantage for this position.

Main responsibilities

- Lead the editorial team in the management of online editorial output and daily work flow

- You will be writing for an online daily, and the bi-monthly magazine

- Breaking news stories and writing features while working to tight timelines

- You will have the ability to interact professionally and build relationships and sources

- You will write clearly and generate ideas for the magazine and website

- You will cover private banking, wealth management, ESG, family offices and independent financial advisers

- You will host live and online conversations with leading bankers and figures within the industry

- You will lead the pitching and adjudication process of awards

- Recruit, train and manage an editorial team of 3 - 5 full-time journalists and some freelance resources

Job specific skills / qualifications / profile

- Demonstrable experience in a similar role

- A keen news sense and sophisticated writing style

- An understanding of financial advice, regulation or politics, the financial markets and the economy

- Ability to build relationship with senior bankers, professionals and UHNW/HNW individuals

- Able to take up new work-flows and adapt to new ideas quickly

- Previous experience hosting high-level in-person and virtual industry events

- Experience hosting and delivering a market leading award adjudication process
