Our client is a fast-growing B2B financial media company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality content and market-leading events across the Asia-Pacific region. With a portfolio that spans editorial, data-driven insights, and in-person and virtual conferences, they serve a senior decision-maker audience across private banking, asset management, fintech, and capital markets.
As the company expands its APAC footprint, they are seeking an experienced APAC Editor to lead and grow their editorial output across the region.
The APAC Editor will be responsible for setting and executing the regional editorial strategy, managing content production across digital, print, and event-related channels. You will oversee a team of small team of journalists, freelancers, and contributors, ensuring timely, insightful, and accurate coverage of key financial sectors and market trends. This is a leadership role that combines editorial oversight, content strategy, team management, and collaboration with commercial, marketing, and event production teams.
Develop and lead the editorial strategy for APAC, aligned with global goals and local market needs.
Commission, edit, and write high-quality articles, analysis, interviews, and special reports across digital platforms.
Ensure editorial standards, style, and voice are consistent and compelling.
Manage and mentor a small team of in-house and freelance journalists across APAC.
Oversee editorial planning, workflow, and deadlines to maintain publishing cadence and quality.
Foster a collaborative, inquisitive, and agile editorial culture.
Stay on top of industry developments, regulatory shifts, and market trends in finance, banking, capital markets, and fintech across Asia-Pacific.
Build and maintain a network of senior industry contacts and contributors.
Represent the brand at events, roundtables, and interviews as needed.
Work closely with event producers and commercial teams to align editorial themes with event agendas and sponsor opportunities (without compromising editorial independence).
Support the development of agenda-driving content for conferences and webinars.
Use audience analytics tools to guide content planning and performance reviews.
Explore new content formats including multimedia, video, and newsletters to enhance audience engagement.
Minimum 7 years of editorial experience in B2B or financial media, with a track record of leadership or senior editorial responsibility.
Deep understanding of the financial services industry in APAC (e.g., capital markets, private banking, fintech, asset management).
Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to translate complex financial topics into accessible and engaging content.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
