I know. Shocking headline. Even worse when you discover it isn't sensationalism, just a sad fact.
Many big firms have diversity targets and take positive action to attract more people from a diverse background but there is clearly a disconnect.
Naturally, people want to be and should be appointed on merit so how do you fix the issue. What is to be learned from the much improved gender representation in leadership roles? What can be done to ensure business are genuinely inclusive?
Board Executives need to take the lead on D&I, it needs representation at Board level with clearly communicated objectives and targets.
Note to Sir Trevor, 'vanilla boys club' isn't a great way to phrase the issue as it will divert attention from the issue you so rightly raise.
